OUR CLASS
Swanzy Montessori, has five classes. The age range for placement and the name of classes are as follows:
All Smiles (Creche )
Swanzy Montessori acknowledges that infants between 3 months and 1 year require a conducive environment for sleeping, playing, exploration and eating. The Smiling Star class is a conducive facility for kids as the class is opened with colourful walls, beautiful educational materials on the walls. With the expertise acquired over time, it does not take long for new preschoolers to settle.
The class has sufficient comfortable baby cots which serves the needs of our preschoolers. The inbuilt toilet and shower facility exclusively for babies are always kept clean and hygienic. We control the temperature in the class where necessary with the aid of our installed air conditioner.
Most of our children stop using diapers and begin putty training before their promotion to All Smiles.
In addition to two Caregivers (Teacher and Attendant) assigned to the class, the Head Mistress also monitors the activities in the class with the aid of CCTV and physical inspections.
The preschoolers enjoy our programmes as our Care Givers, with “caring hands”, take them through a lot of activities including potty training, eating, sleeping, indoor activities, listening to rhymes and music.
The Book Worms (Pre-Nursery)
Children between 1 and 2 years need space and freedom to move about and to learn to walk. The Book Worms Class was therefore created to separate the kids from those under one year. The actual putty training begins in this class. With guidance from parents, kids in this class are introduced to solid food. Feeding at this stage becomes relatively easier by the middle of the academic year as the children begin to enjoy eating together.
With properly setup with brightly coloured tables and chairs, the All-Smiles classroom is attractive to our preschoolers and makes the learning experience enjoyable. There are adequate sleeping mats that the Care Givers lay the children on when they fall asleep. With the classroom walls decorated with pictures educational materials, our preschoolers enjoy the learning environment. In cases of extreme heat in class, we either switch on our fan or air conditioner.
Two Care Givers (Teacher and Attendant) are assigned to All Smiles. In addition, the Head Teacher monitors the activities in the Class. The classroom is always maintained fresh and in very good hygienic condition.
As our preschoolers begin to learn among themselves to sit, walk, eat, talk, and to follow instructions in class, they learn faster to become independent. They therefore find reason to come to school every day to meet their great friends and lovely teachers.
